An Italian reader
I was wondering if you are still convinced that there was a civil war happening that few were admitting in view of the recent revelation that 70% of the insurgency was actually foreign born. And also if there was in fact a civil war in Iraq (and there is no denying that it is more or less over), who won?
My wife surprised me 10 minutes ago while I was working under the kitchen sink by presenting me with a signed copy of your book. I am going to relish this read as I have been an avid visitor to the dispatches for a couple of years now. You are doing such great and noble service to this nation and to Americans who want an honest reporting of this truely global war in which we are joined. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued dedication to "Getting It Right!"
